Annie Loses Her Leg but finds Her Way
This copy of Annie Loses Her Leg but Finds Her Way by Sandra J. Philipson and illustrated by Robert Takatch is a HB with a DJ. It was published in 1999 by Chargrin River Publishing Company. Condition: Very Good--book is Like New; DJ shows slight handling; DJ is not price clipped.
Annie is an English Springer Spaniel. At the age of nine, she got cancer in one of her front legs. It had to be amputated. A true story (more or less).
I met Sandra J. Philipson and Robert Takatch at a book signing in Ohio around 10 years ago in Ohio (I have my own signed copy). I also met Annie. Here is a partial review of another of Sandra's books (Max's Wild Goose Chase) that I wrote on Amazon years ago: "This book is a self-published book, but that does not mean that it is lacking in quality. Sandra Phillipson (the author) chose the self-publishing route mainly because she wanted Robert Takatch (the illustrator) to illustrate it, and she was afraid if she went through a publisher, she would lose that option. He knows these dogs and has done a nice job of conveying their personalities through his artwork."
This is Sandra's first book. I think she has written 6 books now. When I saw this book at a book sale recently, I just had to buy it.
I do combine shipping. THANKS FOR LOOKING!
