A Bronc Burnett Story

by Wilfred McCormick

New York: Grosset & Dunlap. Publishers, (1948).

Circa 1960 reprint (dj lists to Eagle Scout).

Light brown textured illustrated binding with dark brown lettering; in a colorfully illustrated dust jacket.

As usual, a hairline crack to the inner front hinge, else very good; in an about very good dust jacket with light chipping to the spine ends and flap folds, and and tiny tears and creasing to the shelf extremities. The front flap is price-clipped.

"McCormick was a prolific writer  of sports stories covering all kinds of sports. His main characters were Bronc Burnett (twenty-seven books) and Rocky McCune (sixteen). In this, sixteen-year-old Bronc must conquer rabbit ears and find his place as a pitcher on the Sonora High team, leading it to a league championship."--McCue.

The first book in the young adult baseball series.
