BLOOD IN YOUR EYE

By Robert Patrick Wilmot

Eye-catching Hard-boiled Dust Jacket Art

London: T.V. Boardman & Company, Limited, (1954).

First Boardman edition.

Originally published by Lippincott in 1952 with blah, un-intriguing dust jacket art.

Number 81 in the Boardman 'American Bloodhound' series.

Private Investigator Steve Considine has to deal with very rough characters while watching a rich man with booze problems in this hard-boiled mystery set in New York City.

Quite elusive in dust jacket in the Boardman edition.

Front end-paper missing, thin horizontal line of tape-shadow to front and rear inside covers, small rectangular tape shadow to upper and lower edges of front and rear covers, minor stain to lower corners, outer page edges slight soiled, 'property of' stamp to rear end-paper, else good and sound in orange linen with black bloodhound illustration to the front cover and to the spine; in a very good dust jacket that has been beautifully preserved, but has a quarter-inch neatly trimmed from the upper shelf-edge; original 9s. 6d. net price still intact to the front inner flap.

Nicely presentable and well-preserved dust jacket.
