Near fine: an unusually clean and fresh copy in orange cloth with red lettering; in a very good plus, price clipped dust jacket with tiny chip to the front panel, a snagged tear to the upper rear panel, tear to the lower rear panel, small circular stain to the lower spine, and a bit of wear to the crown of the spine. Whitman Chambers published many short stories for the pulps (including Black Mask), as well as detective, western, and science fiction novels. He was also a wrote for television and radio, and was a screenwriter--adapting some of his novels and stories into film. This adventure/intrigue novel appears to be his first. Listed in Hubin.
