First edition, first printing.

Etienne Delssert, two-time Hans Christian Andersen Award finalist, is most well known for his animated segments for SESAME STREET and for the Sesame street KERMIT THE FROG book that unusually, and notably had psychedelic art, a dinosaur, and no frog.
The Swiss artist is also known for his collaborations with Eugene Ionesco.
The wonderfully evocative picture book enchants the reader with visual story-scenes without words sandwiched between a first page two-line beginning poem and a last page one-line ending the poem.
The fantasy art in this exquisite children's book, with beautiful eye-catching color illustrations on every page, is meant to open a child's mind to their own imagination and interpretation.
