Reading Brewery was in Reading PA and was in existence from 1886 until 1996 with a little break during Prohibition. The recipes and labels were sold to C. Schmidt & Co., of Philadelphia but the true reading drinkers said it was the Reading label but was not the beer recipe they knew. I believe Pabst owns what once was Reading at some point and they began production of a beer under the Reading label.  It is 3 1/4 inches long. It has rust underneath where the beverage may have dried on it.
