This lovely victorian jewelry box is very old with the painting of the “Young Girl Reading” by Fragonard.
Fragonard (French, 1732 - 1806) who painted a group of works known today as his fantasy figures and among the most beloved works is the “Young Girl Reading” a representation of a demure model in a lemon-yellow dress seated at a window ledge, a book in one upraised hand.
The jewelry box is metal outside and yellow fabric inside. It measures 3 inches long and 2.5 inches tall.
