Here is a windup Mother Goose toy manufactured in the 60’s by T.N in Japan. This tin and plush covered goose has plastic feet and when not over wound will walk forward while moving her long neck back and forth. Mechanism works well when you move the key backwards … but I believe someone has overwound this toy when it was in my antique store back in 2003 to 2005. All the parts are intact and tight. Mother Goose has on blue fur type clothing, the head area of this toy is creme color (could be dirty from being in storage) and her kerchief around her head is good on one side but a little tattered on the other. Her plastic feet are in great condition … her wings are good with one having a little bit of paint rubbed off. Still a pretty good piece if you collect tin toy items from the 50's and 60's. Not many of this toy out there in this condition.
MEASURES 6 7/8 INCHES LONG STRETCHED OUT X 3 1/4 WIDE FROM WING SPAN TO WING SPAN X 2 1/2 INCHES TALL.
HAS THE ORIGINAL MADE IN JAPAN STICKER WRAPPED ON THE KEY.
see photos as they can do a better description than I can … I do know it is cute
