BUTTON – CLIP ON 1976 or 1980
YES! LET THE RABBIT EAT TRIX! THANKS NICE KID!
Image Description: Illustration of a white rabbit on a red and white striped background with blue above and below and red, black and white text
Additional Information: Trix is a fruit flavored cereal made by General Mills and marketed to children. The Trix Rabbit is the mascot for the cereal brand, and for years, he was featured in commercials trying to get a taste of the cereal but was always stopped by children repeating the tag line “Silly Rabbit, Trix are for kids.”
In 1976 and 1980, a marketing campaign allowed children to decide if the Trix Rabbit was allowed to eat the cereal. Consumers were able to cast a vote by sending in a cereal box top. Those who voted were sent either a “Yes” or “No” button based upon their vote. The result of both elections was “Yes”, and the rabbit was featured in subsequent commercials eating Trix.
I have 5 of these pins all being advertised separately. The fronts of 4 of the 5 are near identical and in great shape…1 of the 5 shows a little more sign of age on front. 2 of the 5 show more age on back, than the others. Overall, very light visual signs of age and wear, mostly on back. Front looks great!!! Please be aware the pictures on each auction are for that specific button / pin. Otherwise, these postings are identical.
These pins are in great condition, especially for being circa 45 years old.

About 2 OE inches in diameter.
Clip-ons on back work great.
