Japan marked cigarette box and tray with Cherub Figures.  Capodimonte ceramic piece with Cherubs.  Condition is Used.  This piece is clearly marked with black stamp made in Japan with the three leaf stamp on bottom. It is a cigarette box dish reservoir with attached tray.  Made of porcelain multicolor. There are cherubs in the detail all around piece. The cherubs are raised from the porcelain. Some curbs are flying, some are laying in the grass, a few are blowing into horns. One Cherub is holding a cross.  The base color on the cigarette box is yellow. There is a blue color in the sky. The lid to this cigarette box has the same type of cherubs on it. There is gold accents around the lids top and along the bottom of the tray. There is a small hairline crack on the inside lip where the lid sits on the top,  a hairline crack on the cream colored area near where the cigarette pack would be placed, and a hairline crack in one of the corners and a small chunk of ceramic that is gone. (See photo showing bottom crack).  For its age I would say it's in good condition. I am not an expert on the black stamp or on this piece.  It has the look of Majelica and also Hodine pieces but it's clearly marked as Japan. There are very few cigarette cases that I have found. This is a two piece SET. There is the cigarette reservoir that is attached to the tray AND then there is the lid.  This piece measures 6 1/2 inches long x 4 1/4 inches wide x 4 inches tall. (Including the lid as it sits on the cigarette reservoir or box).
