1948 MINT Gillette Aristocrat Safety Razor w Original Case

 This great item is in MINT condition. There is Absolutely NO plate loss to the razor. See photos. The TTO knob works as well as the day it left the factory, the doors open smoothly and close tightly. 1948 Gillette Aristocrat with an "Original" container of vintage blades and the "Original" box of purchase. This great razor comes in a Flawless brown leather covered box with maroon velvet interior.
 
 The case is 3 1/2 inches by 3 inches and the razor is 3 1/4 inches long. All the gold plating looks Excellent with NO discoloration or scratches. The case has Absolutely NO wear, which can be seen in the pictures, the case is in Fantastic condition with NO scratches, cuts or dings.  This 1948 Gillette Gold Aristocrat safety razor, case and "Original" box of purchase are in Absolutely MINT condition. Also included is the Original shipping container which is in tattered condition but still readable, this shipping box adds to the ambience of the entire set.
 
 Some consider this the gold standard of DE shavers. These razors are well built and give wonderful shaves. The size and weight of these razors provide great balance and makes shaving a pleasure. HISTORY:
Spanning approximately 70 years, the Aristocrat name plate was the longest running of the Gillette line of DE razors, and in my opinion, was their flagship razor. True, more upscale and pricier sets were made, but only for short periods of time, while the Aristocrat enjoyed fairly steady production until a decade long break from 1951 to 1961. This appears to have been a very popular razor in its time.
