This book, Heinlein's last novel published during his lifetime, is subtitled "The Life and Loves of Maureen Johnson (Being the Memoirs of a Somewhat Irregular Lady)". Maureen is the mother, and later the wife (and perhaps also the daughter) of Heinlein's time-traveling Lazarus Long. Even though the protagonist is a woman, this is said to be Heinlein's most autobiographical novel. All of which makes this pretty typical of his later works. This is a tight, clean, unmarked copy with barely any flaws. The jacket has a one-inch tear on the back, some creasing near the edges and other modest edge wear.
