So confused about adding gtin to certain brands of new clothes. where do i get them from to enter?

Got an email today that one of my items may be removed because I didn’t include a gtin code or something. I read the Google policy, but I am still in the dark about what to do about it. So I deleted the item until I get it figured out.

If the item is new..there should be an UPC code. You can add in UPC in item traits. This will be automatically converted to gtin by bonanza when the feed is sent to google.

If there is no place to add UPC in your item traits/attributes as I know some categories do not have this option..then at the end of your listing you can add the upc..using this format

[[[URL removed] sample number only

It will then be added to your attributes which is then converted to gtin

Or you can go to
Batch Edit
Search Optimize
Find item
select it
then in the box Add search Attributes you can add the upc code using the same format above

(should have just reserved the item instead of deleting..no reason to delete either..it is still searchable in google organic, even if it is not in google shopping)

I have had several pieces of new/used clothing that does not have upc or a place for upc…usually [[identifier_[URL removed] is added to the feed for these items..
