I’m brand new to online selling and am looking for information and/or good tips on how to be successful at this. I’m a mom who’s hoping to make a little side income & I can’t afford to sink a lot of $ into this.Ultimately, I would love to do this fulltime. At anyrate, if someone could direct me to a good source of sound information for beginners, I would be appreciative

I recommend to not get too attached to any one site (it’s not a bad idea to sell on more than one site), read up on google.com for short and long tail keywords/ SEO, when u r out and about looking to stock up your inventory make sure and have a phone that gets on the internet so that u can make sure the product u r wanting to buy for resell has a decent resell value (check ebay’s sold items to see what it has sold for), keep shipping fees looking as reasonable as possible, give detailed descriptions (don’t leave out measurements and be clear on the condition, etc), set your fvf on Bonanza to 9 percent, fill out your booth details/profile page on Bonanza( u may have already done this), and take really good pics.
Here on Bonanza, Google shopping is your best friend (at least for plenty of us that is). It’s really important to read up on Google shopping’s rules so that you can keep Google shopping happy with your listings. By reading up on Google shopping rules, more than likely it would be a good idea to confirm if you are understanding right via the community here.

It’s not as bad as it looks…ask questions though is what I’d recommend.
Good luck and welcome to selling online.

Be prepared to do everything yourself, including advertising (it’s not like other sales sites).
It’s hard and takes a lot of work.
Yes, they advertise on google shopping but I have not found that to be successful in my case. I have the 19% advertising cost for better exposure AND free shipping and still no sales.
Don’t mean to discourage but that’s the reality.

Good luck!

Promote where you [URL removed] Twitter, start a Facebook page, Instagram, Tumblr, start a blog….it’s work but it does help. It also helps that you have products people want. But you have to bring the customers in. I compare this to a real estate broker…Bonanza is the broker, they supply the tools to sell, you are the listing agent, you bring in the customers. But the listing agents does all the work to get the customers to come in.

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
