Welcome to Heartsome. Heartsome is old Scottish for Merry. (No, I am not Scottish but I am pretty Merry :)
Please read my policies as they further explain how I do things here and I consider them part of my items descriptions so they are important for a smooth purchase

Featured in my banner are real life people wearing head wear, vintage clothing or costume items from Heartsome, or using them in their home.
I encourage all buyers to share pictures for use in my online pages!

I specialize in hand wired silk/dried floral head wreaths for Merry occasions and characters. Custom orders are always welcome. You will also find another category that makes my heart Merry, and that is a fun selection of vintage clothing, as well as vintage and vintage inspired hats and headbands. I target many of my vintage items toward use as costume pieces, sometimes selling an entire ensemble I have put together for one era or another.
Can’t forget the category for shoes/boots, home decor, and of course the, “random stuff”, I add from time to time that doesn’t fit in any other category.

How I do things, like returns, sizing etc.. You can find them under policies in left menu. Questions are encouraged if something is not clear :)
Forms of payment: I prefer payments with PayPal .
I believe 1 day is sufficient time for online payment. If it is going to take longer please let me know. I in turn, usually ship within 1-2 days

Return policy

None: All purchases final

General return policy: No returns. I do my best to describe items accurately and I believe it is up to the buyers to ask questions and use information in the description as well as my policies to make an informed purchase. Feel free to ask questions.
Most of my vintage items are considered good to very good condition. I mention any rips or stains, missing buttons, should these issues be evident. Please remember they are vintage and may have signs of use such as small flaws, loose threads, tiny stains, seam or zipper repairs.

If you run into a concern with your purchase, you must contact me within 24 HOURS of delivery for discussion and if a return is accepted, it must be post marked for return within 3 days of receiving item, shipped back in same condition as sold, using a return shipping method first approved by me. All shipping charges to and from are the buyers responsibility and non-refundable.
For hygiene concerns, I do not accept head wear returns.

Measurements are taken with garment lying flat and measured along the one side. Compare the measurement to your own clothing for fit, and remember to allow extra inches for comfort.

Now with that all said, I strive to be a fair seller so contact me promptly with any concerns.
I consider my policies as part of the item description so it is important that you read my policy information before purchasing as they provide further explanation in how I do things and can help to avoid misunderstandings.
I stress that you always use measurements given and compare to yours or a similar garment that fits you. Sizes can often differ from one designer to another and vintage of course usually never runs like today’s sizing. I sometimes use different sizes within an ensemble but will give a general overall size and all parts will work together as used and shown in the ensemble pictures. ~~Pay attention to the length measurement too as all garments may not be as long on you as they look on the model.

In general: All my items are used so please do not expect new. They may very well come with bumps, bruises, or tiny flaws if you are going to closely inspect it. I do my best to disclose anything I feel is worth noting like rips, stains tears, of things that will be obvious and stand out. I also re-inspect before sending to avoid missing anything

My ensembles are assembled from used items brought together to give you a one of a kind costume or outfit, giving them a new purpose while providing you with a OOAK.

I am not a seamstress and do not make them from “scratch”.
I try not to permanently alter vintage so I often use baste stitching or pin items so they are easily restored to their original form if needed, and this also makes the add on more easily removable for cleaning. Accessories like scarves may have small flaws like light stain or snag but are perfectly usable as presented here.Occasionally there may be a flaw that is not visible when worn for its new purpose. I try to note anything I feel may be worthy of mentioning for accuracy. I spot clean whenever possible

In regard to wreaths. Most all my wreaths have dried materials. Dried materials are going to have some shedding or breakage. I usually pack rather snuggly to avoid jostling of items so unpack with care. I occasionally use dyed materials in my wreaths that may bleed color under certain circumstances like high humidity/moisture. Please keep this in mind when storing or using the wreath. You can inquire in advance as to these materials being used in the wreath you are interested in
Custom orders are welcome and I provide discounts for larger orders. I may require half down upon ordering with balance due upon completion for these types of orders. Thank you
